What counts as a dental emergency
Severe or sudden tooth pain, a knocked-out or badly cracked tooth, a lost filling or crown, and swelling or infection in the mouth are all reasons to call rather than wait for your next scheduled visit.
What to Do
Call first
If you're in pain or think you have a dental emergency, call the office and we'll get you scheduled as quickly as we can. If it's a knocked-out tooth, keep it moist (in milk or held gently in place in the mouth) and get to us as soon as possible.
After the visit
Once the immediate problem is addressed, Dr. McCartney will talk you through whatever comes next, whether that's a filling, a crown, a root canal, or a follow-up visit to keep an eye on things.
