Here's the whole visit, from the first phone call to walking out with a plan you actually understand.
Your First Visit, Start to Finish
1. The phone call
When you call to schedule, we'll ask a few questions about what you need so we can get you the right appointment.
2. Arrival
Call ahead and our team can help get your paperwork started before you arrive, so you spend less time filling things out in the waiting room.
3. The exam
Your first appointment is a full new-patient exam: full-series X-rays, complete periodontal charting, an oral cancer screening, and a careful look at your teeth and gums. It takes longer than a routine cleaning because it's supposed to.
4. The plan
Dr. McCartney reviews what he finds and talks you through it in plain language. If treatment is needed, you'll know the plan and the estimated cost before you leave, not weeks later.
If you're nervous about the visit, say so
A lot of patients put off the dentist because they're not sure what's going to happen. If anything about your visit worries you, tell us when you call or when you arrive. We can talk through it before we do anything.
